The name

The muhacha is a real tree.

In Zimbabwean culture, and across rural southern Africa, the muhacha is the tree where lovers met - a known place, under a known canopy. You could meet her at the muhacha. But first, someone asked properly: where do you come from, and who are your people?

Become an aunt

Why an aunt, and not an algorithm

She asks what a screen cannot.

The aunt is the matchmaker. In a southern African family she is the one who does this work, and she always has. paMuhacha does not invent a role - it gives the aunt her seat back.

The other platforms sit on the transaction. They throw photographs at you and let you guess, then charge you again for the next guess. You pay, and pay, and your time drains away - and at the end of it you were never matched, only shown.

paMuhacha does the opposite. It restores the person who was always supposed to do this: your aunt. She asks the real questions - lineage, faith, temperament, and the true shape of a household - in conversation, not as boxes on a screen. That is how the time-wasters fall away, on both sides. What you are given is not a longer list of strangers, but one introduction that a person is prepared to stand behind.

You do not meet a stranger. You meet someone an aunt already stood behind.
